Holly DeGroot is a shop owner, quilt pattern designer, portrait & lifestyle photographer and fabric designer for Cloud9 Fabrics. Her first fabric collection, Brush Strokes, was released in June 2016.
Holly lives in Iron Mountain, a small city in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with her husband Adam and her dog Jackson. Holly and Adam just finished renovating a train depot in downtown Iron Mountain, built in 1889, to be used as the Bijou Lovely storefront, photography & sewing studio, which will open in Spring 2017.
Holly's work has been featured in several online and print magazines. She writes a monthly column about quilting trends for Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine. Her Woodcut Quilt was selected to be displayed at Quiltcon 2015 in Austin, Texas. Her photographs have been published in multiple books for Lucky Spool Media, including Handmade Style by Anna Graham, Beyond Cotton by Krista Fleckenstein, and Boho Embroidery by Nichole Vogelsinger.
